Holiday Recipe #3: Nonna's Clam Dip

This is a fabulous hot and buttery appetizer before a festive meal. I can't claim this one as my own, though

. It came from a friend, and this recipe is one if her family's yummy traditions. Enjoy!


2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crushed finely

2 cans minced clams, including juice

1 large onion, minced

1 stick of butter, melted

2 T. fresh lemon juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Oregano, to taste

Grated parmesan cheese, to taste

How To:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cracker crumbs, clams/juice, onion, butter, lemon juice, and salt and pepper in an oven proof casserole dish. Sprinkle oregano and cheese on top, to taste. Bake 25-30 minutes until gently bubbling and is starting to brown on top. Serve with the other 2 sleeves of Ritz crackers.
