Guidelines:

WHAT TYPE OF ART IS ACCEPTABLE?

All artwork must be 2D (paintings, drawings, collage, photographs, etc.). Please no reproductions or prints. 3D artwork, such as sculpture, cannot be accepted due to limited floor space.

WHAT ARE THE FRAMING & SIZE REQUIREMENTS?

Requirements insure that a) the artwork is properly protected, b) the customer is satisfied with the quality of his/her purchase, c) the gallery maintains a professional appearance, and d) the gallery can accommodate the maximum number of pieces. CS has the right to reject any work that does not comply with these requirements.

Each piece of art must be no more than 36″ on any one side, including the frame.

All work must be framed and have screw eyes (or D-rings) and wire across the back. Please no saw tooth hangers. Wire should be secured 1/4 to 1/3 down from the top of the piece to ensure that pieces hang at a pleasing angle.

Matted work must be framed with glass or plexi-glass. Metal frames should have hardware that screws securely in the track (no sliders). Gallery wrapped canvas (without a frame) is acceptable with deep profile stretcher, stapled on the back with clean or painted sides (single color). Wet paintings will not be accepted.

Gallery walls cannot be altered in any way to accommodate the hanging of any artwork.

CAN I SELL MY WORK?

Yes! CS wishes for each artist to experience the joy of selling their art; Therefore, we urge artists to carefully price their work. CS will gladly consult artists on pricing to help increase sale potential.

Artists may mark their works “NFS” (Not For Sale). In this case, the artwork will not be sold, and it will be marked accordingly.

CS receives 35% of the gross sales price of any piece sold. All sales must be made through CS. A 6.25% MA sales tax is applied to all sales. Artists will be paid within one month after sale.

All artwork must remain hanging in the show until it closes. All artwork must be paid for at the time of purchase.

IS THERE ANY “SMALL PRINT”?

Why, yes there is! CS reserves the right to photograph, reproduce or use an image of artwork in promotional materials. CS reserves the right to refuse any artwork that it deems inappropriate for community viewing. CS is not responsible in any way for the loss, damage, disappearance or harm of any kind to an artist’s work. It is recommended that all artists insure their own work(s) for the duration of the show.
